Villa Ravano traces its origins to the early 16th century, a period of flourishing Renaissance culture in Pisa and throughout Tuscany. Built shortly after 1500, the villa’s symmetrical façade, classic rectangular form, and modest yet noble proportions reflect the architectural sensibilities of post-medieval Pisa, where harmony, proportion, and understated grandeur defined the period. As indicated by the noble coat of arms that still crowns the entrance, the villa stands as a quiet witness to centuries of Italian history, art, and family life.
At the turn of the 20th century, around 1900, the villa was thoughtfully expanded to accommodate the evolving needs of its residents, reflecting both architectural continuity and the refinement of that era. In 2006, Villa Ravano underwent a comprehensive restoration, carefully preserving its historical character while enhancing its comfort and elegance for the modern age.
